Visiting Us

Our seven restaurants are all in the heart of District V, downtown Budapest, within a short walk of each other and of the main sights. Each location page lists its exact address.

Find your nearest

All seven restaurants are open every day of the week. Two of them open at 7:00 AM, the rest from late morning or midday, and every one serves until 11:00 PM at the earliest, several to midnight. Each restaurant lists its exact hours on its own site. If you are planning a late visit, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before closing so you have time to enjoy your meal properly.
You can book, but you never have to. We do get busy, but there is usually a table, and when there is not, the wait is short. If you are 20 or more, a quick call ahead helps us put everyone at one table: +36 70 556 5035.
The immediate area is the inner city of Budapest, so dedicated parking is limited. Street parking is available on surrounding streets and is paid during daytime hours, and several paid garages are within a short walk. We recommend public transport or arriving on foot: the metro and tram network in central Budapest makes it very easy to reach us without a car.

Food & Drink

Bribacsa® is our signature goulash soup, a family recipe passed down through generations and seasoned with a blend of spices rooted in our culinary heritage. The name is proprietary, a registered trademark of Netpromotion Invest Kft., and you will not find it anywhere else. Unlike standard goulash, it uses a specific layering of paprika, slow-cooked meat, and a house cream preparation that makes the broth distinctly richer. All seven kitchens make it in Beef, Chicken, Mushroom, and Vegetable, and our flagship on Duna utca and Terv Presszó also in Pork and Beef & Pork. You can order traditional Lipóti sourdough bread with it. For a first taste, the Beef Bribacsa® is the best place to start.
Briboka® is our signature paprikash, the dish form of what Bribacsa® is in soup form. A Hungarian paprikash made with our family recipe, served with hand-rolled galuska and a creamy paprika sour cream sauce. Also a registered trademark. Available in Beef, Chicken, and a vegetarian Vega version, and with Pork at our flagship on Duna utca and at Terv Presszó. The Truffle Beef Briboka® is the premium version. If you want one dish that represents us, order the Beef Briboka® Paprikash.
Langosh is Hungary’s most beloved street food, a deep-fried flatbread made from a simple yeasted dough. The classic version is topped with garlic, sour cream, and cheese, but it can hold almost anything. Think of it as Hungary’s answer to pizza, but more satisfying. It sits alongside goulash because both are Hungarian classics. We make over 20 langosh varieties, from the classic plain-with-garlic to truffle paprika cheese, bolognese, and gyros. First-timers should try the Meat Lover’s or the Cheese and Sour Cream langosh.
For vegetarians, yes. The vegetarian dishes are marked on every one of our menus, among them the vegetarian Goulash Soup, Mushroom and Vegetable Bribacsa®, Vega Briboka®, Traditional Mushroom Paprikash, Plain Langosh with garlic and salt, Langosh Margherita and 3 Cheese Langosh. Nothing on our menus is marked vegan. If you eat vegan, or have any other dietary need or allergy, please tell your server before you order. Our kitchen handles common allergens including gluten, dairy, and eggs.
If you want the full experience, order one Bribacsa® soup and one Briboka® paprikash to share between two people. That combination is exactly what we are about. Our recommendation: Beef Bribacsa® Soup, plus Beef Briboka® Paprikash, plus one Langosh with cheese and sour cream on the side. Add the Lipoti sourdough with your soup. For dessert, the Budapest Chocolate Cheesecake or the Langosh Balls are both excellent finishes.
At two of our locations, yes. Breakfast is served from 7am at our Duna utca and Ferenciek tere kitchens.

Groups & Events

At most of our restaurants, a single group of up to 100 can sit together in the same space, in some cases more. We can seat a large party together rather than splitting it across separate rooms. For groups of 20 or more, we recommend calling ahead at least a day in advance so we can arrange the layout properly. For very large groups or private events, contact us and we will discuss what works best.
Absolutely. We regularly host birthday dinners, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate team meals, family reunions, and tourist groups. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, and it works well for celebrations. There is no separate private room, but the main dining space is warm and spacious enough that a group of 20 to 40 can feel like they have their own corner. Call ahead and we will make it work.
Yes, and we do so regularly. Our team speaks multiple languages including German, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and French, so language is rarely a barrier for international groups. Tour operators and group coordinators can reach us directly at +36 70 556 5035 to discuss arrangements in advance.

Good to Know

Yes. We accept all major credit and debit cards. You do not need to carry Hungarian Forints to eat here. Card payment works smoothly for the full bill.
Yes. Our restaurants are family-friendly and children are welcome. The menu has plenty of options that work well for younger guests: plain langosh, chicken goulash, pancakes, and dessert langosh are all popular with kids. The atmosphere is relaxed and not overly formal.
The honest answer: the recipes. Bribacsa® and Briboka® are not names pulled from a cookbook or a tourist brochure. They are family recipes, developed, refined, and then trademarked because nobody else has them. You cannot order a Briboka® anywhere else in the world. Beyond that, we take both goulash and langosh seriously on the same menu, while most places in Budapest do one or the other. We have over 50,000 guest reviews at our flagship location, and they speak more honestly than we can about the experience.
Please ask your server or call ahead for the most current information, as seating availability can vary by location and season. Our team will let you know what is available on the day you visit.
For a solo diner or a couple, expect around 45 minutes to an hour for a relaxed meal. For a group of 4 to 8, an hour to an hour and a half is typical, and larger groups naturally take longer. We do not rush tables. If you are on a tight schedule before a tour or a show, let your server know when you order and they will prioritize accordingly.
